"Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku" Anime Adaptation: A Second Season Confirmed

The anime adaptation of Yūji Kaku's "Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku" has successfully concluded the first season of the manga's anime adaptation. A recent announcement reveals that fans of the series have more to look forward to, as the confirmation for a second season of the series has been given. Additionally, a promotional video has been released featuring the character Yamada Asaemon Shugen, who made his first appearance in the final episode of the first season.



The responsibility for directing the anime has been entrusted to Kaori Makita, with the series being produced by MAPPA and planned by Twin Engine. The series composition is overseen by Akira Kindaichi, while Koji Hisaki handles the character design for the animation. The music for the series is composed by Yoshiaki Dewa, and the opening song "WORK" is a collaboration between singer Ringo Sheena and the music project Millennium Parade.

The plot of the manga and subsequent anime adaptation follows the story of Gabimaru, a former ninja known for his unparalleled strength. Gabimaru has decided to retire from his life as a ninja, breaking the laws of his village in the process. Despite multiple execution attempts, he managed to survive thanks to his extraordinary training. Sagiri Asaemon, an executioner, proposes a mission to Gabimaru that could potentially save his life—the search for the elixir of immortality.
