The light novel series „Heroine? Seijo? Iie, All Works Maid desu (Koku)!“ by Atekichi will be adapted into a TV anime. Along with the announcement, a first teaser visual as well as information about the main voice roles were released. The animation is being produced under the direction of studio EMT Squared.
At the center of the story is Melody Wave, a former girl from Japan who, after being reborn in a fantasy world, was actually destined to become the „Holy Maiden“ to save the world—instead, she devotes herself wholeheartedly to working as an all-around maid. She takes a position in the household of an impoverished noble family, where her extraordinary abilities lead to unexpected changes. The plot combines humorous misunderstandings with elements of classic fantasy.
In the anime adaptation, Melody is voiced by Yume Miyamoto. The role of the noble Luciana Lutrberg, who develops into a true beauty under Melody’s influence, is played by Rumi Ōkubo. The teaser visual shows the two having tea together: Melody serving, Luciana expectantly in the background.
To celebrate the announcement, congratulatory illustrations were also released—drawn by Yukiko, the illustrator of the novel series, as well as by Hotaruko, who is responsible for the manga adaptation. Both artists also added personal comments.
The seventh volume of the original novel as well as the seventh volume of the manga adaptation will be released simultaneously on May 15. Further information about the anime adaptation will be announced at a later date.
