Hikuidori: Ushū Boro Tobi-gumi – More Voice Actors and First Promotional Clip Announced

For the upcoming TV anime series "Hikuidori: Ushū Boro Tobi-gumi" (English: "Fire-Eating Bird: The Ushū Ragged Hawk Unit"), further members of the voice cast have been announced. Additionally, a first promotional video clip has been presented.

The series is based on a novel by Shōgo Imamura. The plot, which is based on the historical "Meiwa Great Fire", follows a group of firefighters in historical Edo.

The newly announced voice actors include Ayaka Miyoshi in the role of Miyuki, the practically minded and frugal wife of the protagonist Gengo Matsunaga. Junichi Suwabe voices Kankurō Ōto, the leader of the fire brigade of the Kaga domain and rival of Gengo, who also bears the nickname "Yatagarasu".

The released promotional clip offers first moving insights into the world of the series. Shown are the members of the "Boro Tobi" unit during their missions, scenes of a great fire, as well as a young Gengo during the time when he bore the name "Hikuidori".
