MF Books announced during its special live stream for its 10th anniversary that Hisaya Amagishi's novel series "Dahlia in Bloom: Crafting a Fresh Start With Magical Tools" (Madо̄gushi Dahlia wa Utsumukanai or Magic Artisan Dahlia Wilts No More) will be adapted into a TV anime.
The story follows Dahlia, a woman who, after dying from overwork in Japan, is reborn in a world of magic. Raised by a master of magical tool crafting, she develops a passion for the craft and becomes engaged to her father's apprentice. However, her life takes a turn when her father dies and her fiancé reveals he is in love with someone else. Dahlia decides to live for herself and dedicate herself to her craft, facing various challenges as she starts her own business and encounters a knight.
Amagishi began the original story on the Shōsetsu ni Narō website in April 2018. Kadokawa and Frontier Works' MF Books imprint started publishing the novel series with illustrations by KEI in October of the same year. As of June 2022, eight volumes of the novel have been released.
