"Honzuki no Gekokujou": Local Commercials with Rozemyne Released in 25 Japanese Dialects

To celebrate the start of the second cour of the TV anime "Honzuki no Gekokujou: The Lord and His Adoptive Daughter" on July 11, 2026, the production team has launched a special promotional campaign: a total of 25 so-called "Gotōchi CM" (local commercials) have been released, in which the protagonist Rozemyne advertises the series in various Japanese dialects.

All voice recordings come from Yuka Iguchi, the voice actress of Rozemyne. The spots include both a standard Japanese version and 24 regional dialects, including Iwate dialect, Kansai dialect, Hakata dialect, and many more. The recordings took place under the supervision of "dialect native speakers" from the respective local TV stations. Iguchi demonstrated such high accuracy in intonation and pronunciation that the attending language coaches repeatedly reacted with "Amazing!" and "Perfect!"

The voice actress herself expressed her enthusiasm: "All the dialects were so cute and sometimes funny—I was really curious how they would sound in Rozemyne's voice! It was a lot of fun, even though it was challenging. I did my best, even if they are only imitated dialects—I hope the audience can enjoy them with a forgiving ear."

The 25 spots are being released on the official YouTube channel of the broadcaster ytv animationCH as well as on the official X account of the anime. The campaign arose from the desire to bring the series even closer to fans in all regions of Japan. The second season of "Honzuki no Gekokujou: The Lord and His Adoptive Daughter" has been airing since April 2026 and will span two consecutive cours. The series is produced by WIT STUDIO and tells the story of the book-loving girl Myne, who begins a new life as Rozemyne, the adopted daughter of the lord.
