In Episode 1, we accompany a group of high school students on their class trip to Kyoto, a city rich in culture and history. Amid the hustle and bustle of the excursion, our main protagonists, Miyamura, a reserved boy with glasses, and Hori, an outgoing and popular girl, share some meaningful moments. The calm is disrupted, however, when Miyamura's secret tattoos are accidentally revealed in the bathroom. Yet, Hori proves to be a true friend, stepping in and rescuing Miyamura from an embarrassing situation. The anime's unique touch comes from the splashes of color in the background during these interactions, giving the scenes a vibrant and distinctive look.

After the trip to Kyoto, the setting shifts to a bustling swimming pool. But for Miyamura, the troubles continue. His tattoos once again pose a challenge for him, and this time, his friend Sengoku also shares his concerns and struggles with body image issues. To avoid swimming class, the two boys come up with an unusual story involving "exploding arms," which might just get them out of swimming lessons. Surprisingly, their homeroom teacher accepts this wild excuse. Instead of splashing around in the water, the boys are assigned cleaning duty.
