In Episode 8 of "Horimiya Piece," the episode begins with Ishikawa Yanagi helping to search for a lost contact lens. During the search, a strange scene occurs where Ishikawa kneels, causing some confusion among the viewers. Later, Sengoku, the student council president, reflects on his relationship with Yanagi. He feels that Yanagi is excessively polite toward him, which he interprets as a sign of distance. To bridge this perceived gap, Sengoku tries to mimic the behavior of his more outgoing classmates, including Iura, but this leads to comedic results.

On a cold day, several students, including Hori, meet Ayasaki, who is waiting at a bus stop. She is approached by a stranger who tries to flirt with her, but Hori intervenes, pretending to be a passerby. The two share a moment, and Ayasaki is grateful for the intervention.

Back at school, Sengoku continues to struggle with his feelings of inadequacy in his friendship with Yanagi. He learns that Yanagi is polite to others as well, not just to him, which brings him some relief. Sengoku's attempts to be more casual and friendly, inspired by Iura's antics, lead to a series of humorous misunderstandings. At one point, Sengoku even tries to imitate Iura's playful behavior, resulting in a comical scene where he tickles Ishikawa.
