The TV anime adaptation of Oreco Tachibana's manga "Hotaru no Yomeiri" (English: "Firefly Wedding"), scheduled for October 2026 in Fuji TV's "noitamina" programming block, has released new details. As announced on the official website, the main voice cast has been set: Lynn will voice the protagonist Satoko Kirigaya, while Koki Uchiyama lends his voice to the hitman Shinpei Goto.

Alongside the voice cast announcement, the production team released a second teaser visual and a new teaser promotional video. The visual shows Shinpei kneeling in a pool of blood under a starry sky, taking Satoko's hand. In the video, lines such as Shinpei's "My love might be a bit too intense, but I will make you happy" can be heard, accompanied by artistic imagery.

Additional members of the creative team were also introduced. Yuko Kakihara (known for "Blue Box") is in charge of series composition and script, while the band NOGRID is responsible for the music. Takahiro Kamei directs, and David Production handles the animation production.

The news was also accompanied by comments from those involved:

Oreco Tachibana (Original Author): "When I heard Lynn and Koki Uchiyama's voices during the recording, I was surprised by how perfectly they fit the characters—as if they truly existed. Satoko's fragile yet determined nature and Shinpei's mix of sensuality and childlike naivety merged with the images in my mind. It created a strange feeling of joy, but also of not wanting to see more because it was too precious. I am incredibly excited for the anime's completion."

Lynn (Role: Satoko Kirigaya): "When I read the original manga, I was fascinated by Satoko's attitude of never giving up on her life, her dreams, and her feelings. Shinpei, who lives out his obsession and purity directly, captivated me. I had a strong desire to live within this story. I am grateful for this role and will perform with all my might so that the viewers can enjoy it."

Koki Uchiyama (Role: Shinpei Goto): "Shinpei Goto is a hitman who, under certain circumstances, meets the daughter of a count, Satoko Kirigaya. He is a complex character with many facets, and I want to portray him using various approaches. I will do my best to excite both fans of the original and newcomers."

Yuko Kakihara (Series Composition/Script): "The cruel, pure, fragile, yet strong love of the two—I am writing the script with great anticipation for where it will lead. I hope both fans of the manga and newcomers will enjoy the series."

NOGRID (Music): "I am deeply honored to contribute music to the adaptation of a work I love very much. For the production, I read the source material multiple times to immerse myself in the characters' emotions and the story and create sounds. I particularly strongly identified with Shinpei's feelings (laughs). We combined acoustic instruments with heavy synthesizers and noise and challenged ourselves musically. I hope you enjoy the music as much as the anime."
