The series is set at Kamome Academy, a school known for its seven wonders. One of these wonders is Hanako-san of the Bathroom, a supernatural being. Yashiro, a student at the academy, has made a deal with Hanako-kun to become his assistant. In return, Hanako-kun minimizes the effects of a curse on her.

The story begins with Yashiro cleaning the girls' bathroom, a task she finds bothersome. She complains about the excessive workload and explains that it leaves her no time for social activities. Hanako-kun reminds her that her work is part of their contract in exchange for his supernatural help. Yashiro wishes for assistance from the Mokke, small creatures that inhabit the supernatural realm, but Hanako-kun rejects the idea.

To make the cleaning process more interesting, Hanako-kun proposes the "Kamome Academy Summer Bathroom Daikon Festival." This includes various daikon-themed elements, such as daikon-scented air fresheners and daikon decorations in the bathroom. Yashiro is unenthusiastic about this and repeatedly voices her displeasure.

Later in the episode, Yashiro considers asking her friend Aoi for advice. Aoi suggests that homework can be fun if done with someone you like, making Yashiro reflect on this perspective.

The episode ends without resolving Yashiro's problems, but it sets the stage for her further duties as Hanako-kun's assistant and their developing relationship.
