This episode begins at Kamome Academy, where Hanako-kun is suffering from a cold known as "Apparition Fever." Tsuchigomori-sensei explains that this fever targets apparitions, causing them to display their supernatural traits more prominently. Hanako-kun grows increasingly transparent, while another apparition, Yako-san, tries to disguise her cough as a threatening growl.

Plagued by her first cold in decades, Hanako-kun rushes to Yashiro, who is concerned for her well-being. Meanwhile, Kou also gets caught up in the chaos, trying to figure out what’s wrong with Hanako-kun. A group of Mokke, small supernatural creatures, seizes the opportunity and attacks Hanako-kun, believing her to be weakened. However, the Mokke end up infecting Hanako-kun, who afterward feels much better.

In the second part of the episode, Minamoto Tiara is introduced, a five-year-old girl from the Minamoto clan. She finds a Mokke and decides to take it home, naming it Minamoto Fairy. Tiara introduces Fairy to her family, which includes her brothers Kou and Teru. Teru, who usually hunts evil spirits at night, is seen sleeping during the day. Tiara admires him and plans to marry him when she grows up.

Tiara’s spiritual power already surpasses that of her brother Teru, hinting at her potential. She declares Fairy to be her servant and plans a grand feast for it.
