The comedic fantasy story revolves around Alina Clover, who takes a job as a receptionist at the adventurer's guild, hoping it will lead to a comfortable life. Contrary to her expectations, she is buried in paperwork when adventurers struggle to escape dungeons. To avoid overtime, she decides to fight the monsters herself to speed up the process. Aside from the creatures, her biggest challenge is keeping her monster-slaying a secret.

Since its debut in March 2021, the light novel series has grown, with the seventh volume published by Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko imprint in June. A manga adaptation by Suzu Yƫki began serialization in Monthly Comic Dengeki Maoh magazine in August 2021, with the third volume released in June by Dengeki Comic Next.
