I Shall Survive Using Potions! A new take on reincarnation tropes

The survival journey of a young girl named Kaoru, who was reborn with extraordinary potion-making abilities, will be featured in the upcoming anime adaptation of FUNA's light novel series "I Shall Survive Using Potions!" The news was recently officially announced on the anime's website, along with the release of a teaser video and details about the series' staff.



The anime adaptation, directed by Nobuaki Nakanishi, is a production by Jumondo Studio. The creative force behind the series is Chisato Kikunaga, who will bring Sukima's original characters to life in animated form, while Takayo Ikami will lend his expertise to the series' scripts. The musical score, composed by Hiroaki Tsutsumi, adds further depth to the series.

Among the voices bringing the characters to life is Rin Kusumi, who will voice the protagonist Kaoru. Other characters, namely Francette, Emile, Belle, and Layette, will be voiced by Tomoyo Takayanagi, Moeka Koizumi, Haruki Iwata, and Natsuki Kitagawa.

The story of "I Shall Survive Using Potions!" revolves around Kaoru Nagase, a girl who loses her body due to a cosmic mishap and is reborn in a less developed world. However, she negotiates to retain some unique abilities: she can brew any potion with any desired effect, possesses a box of magical items, understands and speaks any language, and keeps her fifteen-year-old body. With these abilities, Kaoru attempts to build a comfortable life in this new, unfamiliar world.
