Today, it was announced that a TV anime adaptation of the fantasy light novel series Yusha, Yamemasu (I'm Quitting Heroing) by Quantum is in production, set to premiere in April 2022. The series follows the hero Leo Demonheart, who saved the world but became feared and unemployed, as he is rehired by the declining Demon King's army and tasked with rebuilding it.

The teaser features Leo and Echidna against the backdrop of a castle. The video begins with Leo's interview with the Demon King's army, followed by scenes with Echidna, Stina, Lili, Mernes, and Edvard.

Yuu Nobuta is credited as the chief director, while Hisashi Ishii directs the series at EMT Squared. Shigeru Murakoshi is in charge of the series' scripts. Yuki Nakano designs the characters.

The announced cast so far includes:

- Kensho Ono as Leo Demonheart

- Kaede Hondo as Echidna

- Shizuka Itou as Steina

- Hitomi Oowada as Lili

- Yumi Uchiyama as Melnes

- Tetsu Inada as Edwald

The original series Yusha, Yamemasu ~Tsugi no Shokuba wa Maoujo~ was first published in January 2017 on KADOKAWA's novel-posting site Kakuyomu. The third volume has since been released. The manga adaptation of the novel, illustrated by Nori Kazato, has also been serialized in KADOKAWA's Young Ace UP since May 2018.
