Yesterday, you probably already read it on other pages (it was impossible to miss), but Walt Disney would have turned 100 this year.
The breakthrough that made Disney a global star came with Snow White (aka our Schneewitchen on DVD from the commercials). The last film he worked on was The Jungle Book. Disney himself contributed to the films as a storyboard writer, oversaw production, and championed new techniques in animated films. The first true "New Age technology" film was Pinocchio, as it featured multi-layered scrolling in the background.
We wish the mouse empire continued success and hope for more exciting new films. To wrap things up, here’s a heads-up for all Disney fans about the major hits Disney is currently working on:
Atlantis (DVD in preparation)
The Lion King III (Dec 2002/Jan 2003)
Monsters, Inc. (March 2002)
