The anime Insomniacs After School will air on Japanese television in April 2023. The adaptation of the manga series by Makoto Ojiro is produced by Studio Liden Films and directed by Yūki Ikeda. The scripts are written by Rintarou Ikeda, and Yuki Fukuda is responsible for adapting the character designs. Yūki Hayashi is in charge of music composition. Konomi Tamura and Gen Sato will play the lead roles as Isaki and Ganta.

The adaptation of Insomniacs After School follows the development of a relationship between Ganta and Isaki, two students suffering from insomnia. They meet in their school's old observatory, now used as a storage room, to take short naps and confide in each other. The story captures the innocence of the beginnings of a relationship, blossoming from friendship into love, and offers humorous moments and a chance to relax and fall asleep alongside the tired protagonists.
