The TV anime "In/Spectre," based on the original story by Kyo Jouhei and Chashiba Katase, is set to air in October. The first key visual and additional cast members have also been revealed. The first key visual depicts Kotoko Iwanaga reaching out her hand to catch falling snow, alongside a new character, Yuki-onna. Aoi Yuki voices the role of the Snow Woman, a demon who resides in a specific mountainous area, also visible in this image, while Shin Furukawa plays the role of Masayuki Muroi, a strong man who distrusts humans.

The first season of the anime was a Crunchyroll co-production and part of the Crunchyroll Originals lineup. The series premiered in Japan in January 2020 and aired for 12 episodes.

Kodansha Comics publishes the manga in English and describes the plot as follows:

When she was a little girl, Kotoko was abducted by Yokai. These spirits turned her into a powerful mediator between the spirit and human worlds, but this power came at a cost: an eye and a leg. Now, years later, she keeps an eye out for dangerous Yokai while developing feelings for a young man named Kuro, who is also special: an encounter with a Yokai granted him healing abilities. He is surprised when Kotoko asks him to team up with rogue Yokai to maintain the thin line between reality and the supernatural.
