After a hardly comprehensible program change, the broadcaster RTL 2 announced this evening that starting tomorrow, October 14, 2003, the anime series "Inuyasha" will be aired. "Inuyasha" (currently 52 episodes secured by RTL2) will thus replace the series "King Of The Hill" and, as far as can be inferred from the change, will be broadcast daily at 4:30 PM.
The reasons for this program change presumably lie in the series "King Of The Hill" itself, which notably flopped (max. 0.2 mil. viewers with max. 4% market share).
Whether this change promises success remains to be seen. Much speaks in favor of the anime hit "Inuyasha," but significantly more speaks against the program planning (which somehow did not take place) and against massive cuts in the series (as far as could be seen in RTL's presentation so far).
