The 13-episode anime series "Ippon Again!" (Japanese: "Mou Ippon!"), based on the manga of the same name by Yu Muraoka, is receiving a rare opportunity on Japanese television. NHK Eテレ (NHK Educational TV) will air all episodes of the series in two consecutive nights as a complete broadcast.

The broadcast will take place on the night from Thursday, March 12, 2026, to Friday at 0:45 (JST) with episodes 1 to 6. The remaining episodes 7 to 13 will be aired on the following night from Friday to Saturday, March 13, 2026, at 1:15 (JST). The series was originally broadcast from January to March 2023 on TV Tokyo and other stations.

The anime adaptation, produced by Studio BAKKEN RECORD under the direction of Takeru Ogiwara, tells the story of female students dedicated to the sport of judo. The focus is on high school student Michi Sonoda (voiced by Ayasa Ito), who wanted to quit judo after a defeat in her last junior high school tournament. However, at her new school, she meets her last opponent Towa Hiura (Chiyuki Miura) and her best friend Sanae Takigawa (Yukari Anzai), which motivates her to revive the school's judo club together.

The further cast includes Nene Hieda as Anna Nagumo, Anna Nagase as Tsumugi Himeno, and Yumi Uchiyama as Shino Natsume. The series is characterized by its authentic judo depictions and focused character development. The music was composed by Shun Narita.

The series, whose manga source ran from October 2018 to May 2024 in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten), is available in German-speaking regions on Blu-ray with German dubbing from the publisher KSM Anime. The German version was produced at G&G Tonstudios under the dialogue direction of Richard Westerhaus.
