"Iron Wok Jan!" gets first teaser and confirms main cast

The anime adaptation of Shinji Saijo's manga "Iron Wok Jan!" planned for 2026 has received a first teaser trailer and a key visual. At the same time, the main cast has been announced.

The voice roles at a glance:

Responsible for the culinary authenticity of the dishes shown is Takako Sato, who both supervises and coordinates the cooking scenes. She is supported by professional Chinese chefs. The scientific foundation of the cooking processes is handled by Naoya Higuchi, who acts as a consultant for the correct depiction of the preparation methods.

The story revolves around the young, arrogant chef Jan Akiyama, for whom cooking is solely a competition. He meets Kiriko Gobancho, the granddaughter of the owner of a renowned restaurant, for whom cooking is a matter of the heart. These opposing philosophies lead to intense cooking duels.

The new teaser provides a first look at the characters as well as the animated cooking sequences.
