At the recently held event for the 30th anniversary of Dengeki Bunko, new information about the upcoming TV anime adaptation of the light novel series "Ishura" by Keiso and Kureta was revealed. The event unveiled details such as the main cast and staff of the anime, as well as the planned premiere date in January 2024.



Kōichi Yamadera was announced as a new addition to the cast, voicing the character Shalk the Sound Slicer. Other notable actors include Yuuki Kaji, Reina Ueda, Jun Fukuyama, Akio Ohtsuka, Romi Park, Sōichiro Hoshi, Showtaro Morikubo, Sora Amamiya, Aoi Yūki, Mamiko Noto, and Rie Takahashi, each voicing different characters in the series.

The anime will be available exclusively on the streaming platform Disney+ for a global audience. The adaptation is led by Takeo Takahashi as the chief director, while Yuki Ogawa directs at Passione. Kenta Ihara oversees and writes the scripts for the series, with the studio SANZIGEN handling the CG animation.

The light novel series "Ishura" depicts a world where the Demon King has fallen, and various demigods with their unique abilities and ambitions must inherit the world. Each of them strives to become the "One True Hero," engaging in intense battles to assert their supremacy.
