The production of a second season for the anime adaptation "Izuze Saikyou no Renkinjutsushi?" (engl. Someday Will I Be the Greatest Alchemist?) has been officially confirmed.

The plot of the series is based on a light novel by Kogitsunemaru and follows the office worker Iruma Takumi, who, at over 40 years old, is suddenly summoned to a fantasy world. There, he receives special abilities from the goddess Norn, which allow him a fresh start in this unfamiliar environment. The story follows his journey as he uses his newly acquired powers as an alchemist.

On the occasion of the announcement of the continuation, an illustrative graphic was released, created by Sasakama Tarou, the artist of the manga adaptation. The illustration shows the protagonist Takumi together with the goddess Norn in a festive atmosphere.

Further details, especially the planned start date of the second season, have not been announced at this time.
