The originally web-released Chinese anime series "Luo Xiao Hei Zhan Ji" (also known as "The Legend of Hei") is now receiving a standalone TV version with Japanese dubbing. The original work was created by Chinese animator MTJJ in collaboration with the animation studio Hanmu Chunhua (HMCH).

The story focuses on the encounter between a young woman named Luo Xiao Bai and an injured cat spirit she takes in. The cat is then named Luo Xiao Hei, inspired by the surname of its rescuer. From then on, the two develop a close bond and share their daily lives together.

In China, the series, which was originally released online in 2011, quickly gained immense popularity and later led to the production of several theatrical films. The first film with Japanese subtitles was released in 2019, followed by a Japanese dubbed version in 2020.

Additionally, it has been announced that Japanese voice actress Kana Hanazawa will once again lend her voice to Luo Xiao Hei in the TV series. Alongside the release of the TV series, a new Japanese teaser visual will also be unveiled.
