In this episode, a new character is introduced, Tachibana Nonoka, also known as Nono-tan. She is a fervent admirer of Kano's former identity as a member of the idol group SunDolls. Nonoka offers $1,600 to support Kano and Mahiru's new art project JELEE but demands that Kano return to her role as an idol. Kano declines the offer, insisting on leaving her past behind, prompting Nonoka to leave.

An accidental mix-up of their similar bags leads Kano and Mahiru to Nonoka's belongings, including a tape recorder with original compositions. Impressed, they meet Nonoka at her school to return the bag and listen to her music. Kano asks Nonoka for a song, but she refuses and leaves the meeting.

After the meeting, Kano recognizes Nonoka from a sauce-stained student ID from a previous encounter and remembers her as Mei, a student under pressure from expectations. Mei reunites with Nonoka at a live event, this time under the alias "Kimura."

After initial hesitation, Mei opens up to Nonoka about her emotional struggles. Kano, as Nono-tan, responds sincerely and shares her own experiences of isolation. Kano's supportive words as Nono-tan inspire Mei.

At a crucial concert, Mei is calmed by Kano's presence, leading to a successful performance. Afterwards, Mei, overwhelmed, runs to Kano and reaffirms her decision to join JELEE and contribute as a songwriter.
