In Episode 5 of "Jidou Hanbaiki ni Umarekawatta Ore wa Meikyuu wo Samayou," the story takes place in a village near the Clearflow Lake layer, where Boxxo has decided to stay for a while.

The episode begins with a fishing scene involving Lammis. The backstory of Lammis and her strength is revealed, including the loss of her parents in a monster attack.

Boxxo is introduced to the village and quickly gets involved in various activities. A girl named Suori asks Boxxo and a famous magical item engineer named Hulemy to attend a gathering of influential merchant families. The meeting involves a competition to unveil magical items, and Suori wants to outshine her rival, Kanashi.

During the event, Kanashi's engineer presents an intelligent magical item that suddenly goes haywire. It turns out that a human soul was forcibly implanted into the doll, a dangerous and forbidden act. Hulemy quickly deactivates the magical item, and Suori wins the competition thanks to Hulemy's expertise.

The episode then shifts to a new threat to the village: a large restaurant chain called Chains Restaurant. The local restaurants are at risk of losing business, and Boxxo is called upon to help. With the support of Lammis and Hulemy, Boxxo assists the local businesses in developing new menus that successfully lure customers away from Chains Restaurant, leading to its withdrawal from the area.

The episode ends with an invitation from the Menagerie of Fools, a well-known group that asks Boxxo and Lammis to join them in a campaign. Lammis expresses her desire to fight and grow stronger, and Boxxo supports her decision.
