Jigokuraku – Hell's Paradise: First Look at Second Season

First details are available for the second season of the anime series Jigokuraku (English: Hell's Paradise) by Yūji Kaku. A preview video as well as additions to the voice cast have been released.

The video begins with the arrival of the four executioners, including Yamada Asaemon Shion, on the mystical island Kotaku. The footage shows the threat posed by the powerful Tensen, who kill intruders, as well as the amnesiac state of the protagonist Gabimaru and conflicts among the convicts. A statement by the character Yamada Asaemon Jikka hints at further developments.

The voice cast is expanded with Kōji Yusa as Yamada Asaemon Jikka, Maaya Uchida as Yamada Asaemon Kiyomaru, and Sayaka Ōhara as Yamada Asaemon Irei. The voice actor Shōta Suzuki, who takes on the role of Yamada Asaemon Shion in the second season, also commented on the production. Newly created illustrations by studio MAPPA show the new characters as well as an updated design of Gabimaru.

The plot of the series follows the death-sentenced ninja Gabimaru, who, in search of an elixir of immortality, gets caught in war-like conditions on the island Kotaku. The second season will continue the confrontation between humans and the Tensen.

The broadcast is planned for January 2026. The series will be seen on channels of the TXN network and will be available simultaneously on streaming services such as Prime Video, Netflix, and Lemino.
