In episode 3, Nishimura finds a black kitten and decides to adopt it, naming it Kuro. Although she worries that people might consider the cat evil or unlucky, her friend Takada encourages her by saying the cat is cute, just like her. This leads to a misunderstanding among their classmates, as some think Nishimura herself is also cute.

As summer vacation approaches, the students are tasked with creating a schedule for the holidays. Nishimura’s plan is rather sparse, which initially embarrasses her. But when Takada sees her plan, he is excited about the prospect of spending time together during the break. They decide to hold a brainstorming session in the school library, turning the planning meeting into a special kind of adventure.

The two friends discuss various activities, such as exploring mountains, photographing ghosts, and building a secret base. Eventually, they fill their calendar with a mix of exciting and fun things they want to do together, like going to the pool, playing with Kuro, and studying. They promise each other to enjoy the summer vacation together, strengthening the bond between them.
