Yuta Okkotsu is a nervous high school student suffering from a serious problem—his childhood friend Rika has turned into a curse and won’t leave him alone. Since Rika is no ordinary curse, Satoru Gojo, a teacher at Jujutsu High (a school where aspiring exorcists learn to combat curses), takes notice of his plight. Gojo convinces Yuta to enroll, but can he learn enough in time to fight the curse haunting him?

JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 is directed by The God of High School TV anime director Sung Hoo Park, marking his return from the series. The film also sees the return of JUJUTSU KAISEN scriptwriter Hiroshi Seko, as well as Tadashi Hiramatsu, who handled character designs, and Yui Umemoto as assistant director. Yoshimasa Terui composed the music for the trailer, returning from the TV anime. Like the TV series, the film is once again animated by MAPPA and distributed by TOHO.
