The manga series 'Kanojo no Tomodachi' ('My Girlfriend's Friend') by mangaka Jura is being adapted into a TV anime and is scheduled to air sometime in 2026.

The story follows the shy high school student Takeru, who has found a girlfriend for the first time in his life: the beautiful Kaori. However, his happiness is put to a severe test when Kaori's friend Tomoko begins to seduce him with her alluring charm and body. Takeru thus gets caught in a whirlpool of temptation and guilt.

The manga is serialized in the magazines 'Yanmaga Web' and 'Comic DAYS'. The anime production falls under the label 'Deregura', which specializes in adapting works from the 'appealing' genre.

To celebrate the announcement, author Jura released a special illustration showing the main characters Takeru, Kaori, and Tomoko during a voice recording session.

Additionally, 'Kanojo no Tomodachi' will be present at the upcoming event 'Machi Asobi Vol. 30', which takes place on May 16 and 17 at Aibahama Park in Tokushima. At the Wave booth, panels, a trailer, and the distribution of promotional items are planned. Furthermore, the head of Wave's animation department, Yoshimasa Goto, who oversees the production of the series, will hold a talk show.

Further details about the TV anime series, such as the exact broadcast date or the voice actors involved, are to be announced at a later date.
