The eagerly anticipated climax of "Eminence in Shadow" is drawing near! In the final two weeks of the series, fans can look forward to the mysterious plans of the Diablo Cult reaching a boiling point.

The episode picks up right where the last one left off: Cid's sister is about to strangle him for making her wait all day. To make up for his mistake, Cid receives a VIP ticket to the tournament from her, where he’s supposed to watch her. In the VIP section, Cid runs into Iris Midgar, leading to some hilarious misunderstandings about his "friendship" with her sister and the tournament participant "Mundane Man." As expected, Cid shines as the underestimated "Mundane Man."

The highly anticipated battle between Cid and Annerose is packed with action, as Cid uses his speed to dominate the fight. Unfortunately, Annerose’s counterattack falls short, and Cid advances to the next round, where he will face Iris Midgar, the strongest Spell-Sword fighter in the country.

It’s also worth noting that the war goddess Beatrix, whom Cid encounters again, is portrayed as less serious and energetic compared to the manga.

Aside from the humor, the episode also makes significant progress in the cult’s storyline. "Perv Asshat" strengthens his ties to the sect, while Rose prepares for a decisive duel that could reveal her ultimate goal. The finale seems to end on a cliffhanger.
