Kageki Shojo! Character video focuses on Ai Narata

Recently, the official website for the TV anime adaptation of Kumiko Saiki's manga Kageki Shoujo!! released the second character promotion video, featuring the character Ai Narata, voiced by Yumiri Hanamori. The anime premieres on July 3.

The band saji performs the opening song "Hoshi no Orchestra" (Starry Orchestra). Kazuhiro Yoneda (Yona of the Dawn, Hozuki's Coolheadedness) directs the anime at PINE JAM. Tadashi Morishita (Yona of the Dawn) is in charge of the series scripts. Takahiro Kishida (Gleipnir, Haikyu!!, Madoka Magica) designs the characters. Tsuneyoshi Saito (Fafner, PriPara) composes the music.

Shueisha describes the story as follows:

Like the Takarazuka Revue, the young women attending the Kouka Kageki High School of the Arts play all roles in musical theater, whether female or male. Narata Ai is a withdrawn former idol who plays female roles—her roommate, Watanabe Sarasa, a bright-eyed country girl, plays male roles. From school to the stage and the rest of their lives, there’s no challenge these young women can’t face with their passion for performance.
