The animation production "Kaiju Decode: Aidara no Yubiwa" was confirmed as a new undertaking within a joint project of two studios. The cooperation involves Tsuburaya Productions and Toei Animation.

The plot takes place in the city of Sakai within the prefecture of Osaka. The focus is on the encounter between two youths from different societal forms. A boy comes from a technologically advanced community, while the girl belongs to an ethnic group with a connection to mysterious life forms.

The synchronous implementation of the main characters is realized by two voice actresses. The role of the male protagonist is taken on by Kyan Yamane, while Karen Takahashi voices the female main character. Both artists expressed themselves in separate statements about their characters and the narrative focal points.

The project encompasses several preceding productions in different media formats. These include computer-animated short films, virtual reality as well as augmented reality. The new series continues this conception in an expanded form.

The core plot describes the development of the relationship between the two main characters. Despite their different social and cultural imprints, they search for possibilities of living together. The narrative thereby thematizes fundamental aspects of human existence.
