Kaiju No. 8 - Episode 10

The episode begins with an intense battle between Kaiju No. 10 and Hoshina. Despite pushing himself to his limits, Hoshina is overwhelmed by Kaiju No. 10. In a flashback, a man tells Hoshina to give up on joining the Defense Force, as despite his exceptional swordsmanship, he is incompatible with firearms.

In the present, Hoshina informs his ally via a device that he can still fight, even though he knows he has lost his maximum release. Okonogi updates Hoshina on the current battlefield situation. Despite the disadvantages, Hoshina continues his fight against Kaiju No. 10. Further flashbacks reveal that Hoshina had expected Mina to also tell him to give up. Instead, she asks him to join the Defense Force, valuing his swordsmanship.

Inspired by this memory, Hoshina gives his all against Kaiju No. 10 but is still overpowered. Kafka rushes to help, but Mina arrives first and engages Kaiju No. 10 in battle. Okonogi informs Mina about Kaiju No. 10's core. Hoshina and Kikoru assist by damaging Kaiju No. 10's bindings. Despite Kikoru's exhaustion, more fighters join in, and Mina unleashes a 96% combat power attack, securing victory.

After the battle, everyone regroups. Okonogi suggests that Mina and the others return to base to rest while other troops clean up the remaining Yoju. Suddenly, Kafka and the others notice something strange in the sky. Okonogi identifies it as a Yoju-themed bomb. Kafka transforms into Kaiju No. 8 and propels the Yoju bomb into the sky, ready to face the consequences of his actions. The bomb explodes, causing only minimal damage to the battlefield.

Kafka stands as Mina and her troops confront him. Mina points her weapon at Kafka and declares that she will take him into custody.
