It has been announced that the light novel series "Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi" by writer Midori Yuma and illustrator Laruha will be adapted into an anime in 2018.

The series focuses on a college student named Aoi, who has inherited the ability to see spirits from her deceased grandfather. Aoi takes pride in her cooking skills, and one day, while feeding agricultural spirits, a god and the master of the "Tenshinya" (a restaurant) suddenly appears and takes Aoi away. He tells her that she must become his bride due to her grandfather's debts. Aoi hates this idea and instead declares that she will repay her grandfather's debts by working at the Tenshinya.

Yuma launched the novel series in 2015. Kadokawa will publish the seventh novel on November 15. Since October, the series has over 340,000 copies in print.
