Kami no Niwazuki Kusunoki-tei: Lead Role Cast with Shōgo Sakata

For the anime production "Kami no Niwazuki Kusunoki-tei" (The Kusunoki Residence with a Divine Garden), the casting of the main role was announced. Shōgo Sakata takes on the voice of Minato Kusunoki, the central figure of the plot.

The adaptation is based on the novel series of the same name by Enju and depicts the life of estate manager Minato, who possesses the special ability to imbue characters with purifying power. The narrative accompanies his coexistence with various mountain deities who gather on the property and portrays their simple rural life.

To introduce the character, a character-based promotional clip was released, in which Sakata's interpretation of the role can be heard. The voice actor commented on his participation and emphasized how important the authentic portrayal of Minato's open-minded personality is to him. He also pointed out the outstanding casting of the numerous deity roles and invited everyone to look forward to the release in 2026.

The production combines elements of the supernatural genre with everyday scenarios and creates an atmosphere that unites both mystical and rural aspects.
