Isshiki Totomaru is appointed as Kawasemi's assistant, known for his attention to detail and high case resolution rate. Kawasemi's assistant Yamane is also introduced.

The case involves a series of murders in which the victims' hands were hacked off, earning the perpetrator the nickname "Hand Collector." Kawasemi and Isshiki arrive at the Central Art Museum of Tokyo, where a truck from Aichi Prefecture has delivered a statue that turns out to be a handless corpse. The body is identified as Mushanokouji Minoru, a suspect in the Hand Collector case.

Unexpectedly, Kamonohashi Ron appears at the crime scene and introduces himself as a consultant on all matters related to hands. Despite initial resistance, Kawasemi allows him to stay. Ron's friend Spitz Fire provides crucial information confirming that Mushanokouji was indeed the Hand Collector, but he is now the latest victim.

Isshiki has a shocking theory: Mushanokouji committed suicide, and someone staged it to look like a murder. He points out inconsistencies in Yamane's story and reveals that Yamane had lost his handcuffs, leading him to cut off Mushanokouji's hands to cover up his mistake. Yamane confesses and is arrested, but Kawasemi assures him he will await his return, emphasizing the importance of teamwork.

The episode ends with Kawasemi acknowledging Isshiki's abilities and Ron causing another chaotic scene that Isshiki has to clean up.
