On November 13, 2023, the final chapter of "Kanjo Ginmiyaku Ibun," illustrated by Hiroshi Kadota and based on the novel of the same name by Ueda Hideto, was published in the December issue of the comic magazine Ran Twins, published by Leed Publishing. The manga, which has been serialized since August 2016, follows the life of Soshiro Mizuki, a young man working as a book examiner under Arai Hakuseki, a close advisor to the sixth shogun of the Edo Shogunate. The final volume, Volume 16, is scheduled for release in April 2024.
With this issue, Laswell Hosoki's new gourmet story set in the Edo period, "Oedo Bimi Shinan Umeemon!" also begins. The first chapter, titled "Takumi《Itsunoichi》," starts with the character Daikichi, a townsman, noticing something unusual about the dengaku at a certain shop, setting the stage for the unfolding story.
