"Katainaka no ossan, Kensei ni naru": new trailer and flo unveiled as a ending singer

The second preview video for the upcoming anime adaptation of the fantasy series Kataina no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru (English: A Country Bumpkin Becomes a Sword Saint) has been released, along with the announcement of the ending theme Alright!!! by the band FLOW. The trailer blends scenes of the protagonist Beryl's daily life with his former students, highlighting the series' mix of humor and action.

FLOW, known for energetic anime tracks like Sign (Naruto) and Go!!! (Naruto), delivers a fittingly dynamic song with Alright!!!. The band expressed their excitement about the collaboration in a statement.

Based on the light novel by Shigeru Sagasaki, the story follows the rise of medieval swordsman Beryl, who, despite his rural origins and age-related doubts, embraces his destiny as a legendary warrior. The adaptation combines classic sword action with a touch of self-awareness.

Additionally, a manga spin-off titled Kataina no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru Gaiden: Ryusōken no Kiseki will launch in Young Gangan magazine on February 7, 2024, focusing on a side character from the main series.
