Katsuhiro Otomo, the mastermind behind the legendary manga series "Akira," has once again dropped hints about an upcoming manga project. Otomo and his team posted an image of the character Kiyoko drawn on a whiteboard with the text: "I had a dream that Otomo-sensei was drawing a new manga." The caption reads: "Kiyoko's prophetic dream is coming true."
This isn't the first time Otomo has teased a new project. In 2012, he announced plans for a new full-length series, his first since "Akira." Otomo revealed that the new manga would be set in the Meiji era and that he would work as the sole artist without assistants. Originally, the series was planned for publication in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday Magazine, but the release was delayed, and Otomo later mentioned that the new series might target an older audience than that of Weekly Shonen Sunday.
