The main voice actors for the original anime project "Kaze wo Tsugu Mono" have been announced. The historical animation series will feature Daisuke Sakuma (Snow Man), Yūki Kaji, and Aoi Yūki in the central roles.

The plot of the period drama portrays the youthful experiences of young people during a turbulent era. The production is a collaboration between the companies Aniplex, Live2D, and Drive. The series director is Tomohiro Kawamura, the screenplay is by Yutaka Narii, and the musical accompaniment is by Shigeru Kishida, the frontman of the band Quruli.

Sakuma takes on the role of the protagonist Tachikawa Jinsuke, a young man with no memories who appears before the Mibu ronin group. This lead role marks Sakuma's first engagement as a protagonist in an anime television production. Yūki Kaji will be heard as Hijikata Toshizō, the deputy leader of the group. Aoi Yūki plays the role of Okita Sōshi, a member of the ronin group who is concerned about the amnesiac Jinsuke.

To accompany the cast announcement, initial vocal previews in the form of a preview video were released, presenting the characters' distinctive voices. Additionally, the three voice actors provided personal comments regarding their involvement in the project.

Parallel to the anime production, it was announced that the series will be adapted into a manga by Matsuri Muramatsu. The comic adaptation is expected to be released starting in 2026 and will focus on the everyday, carefree moments of the members of the Mibu ronin troop.
