The youth novel "Trapezium" by former Nogizaka46 member Kazumi Takayama is being adapted into an anime. The production is handled by CloverWorks, known for their work on "SPY×FAMILY" and "Bocchi the Rock!" The release is scheduled for May 10, 2024.

"Trapezium" is Takayama's debut novel, which was serialized from 2016 to 2018 in Da Vinci (KADOKAWA) and later published as a book. The story spans ten years in the life of high school student Yu Higashi, who sets out to become an idol by adhering to four vows: avoiding social media, having no romantic partner, staying inconspicuous at school, and befriending beautiful girls from around the world. The narrative unfolds with realistic depictions of youth, as written by an active idol.

Asaki Yuiwaki, who previously played the lead role in "Nigejouzu no Wakagimi," portrays the protagonist Yu Higashi. The theme song was composed by the music project MAISONdes.

Additionally, a special promotional video and a teaser poster have been released.

The film is directed by Masahiro Shinohara. The team includes director Takaji Masunari, screenwriter Yuko Kakihara, character designer Rio, and composer Katsuyuki Yokoyama.
