The professor explains that the faculty, dominated by the nobility, opposes sending a commoner to the Alpha class.

Desir meets Romantica Eru, a fellow student from the Beta class, who is invited by Doneta Hadoon, a student from the Alpha class, to the prestigious Blue Moon Party. Doneta offers her the chance to move up to the Alpha class if she attends but also asks her to become her friend, which throws Romantica into conflict.

Meanwhile, Desir encounters Pram Schnaizer, a talented swordsman whom he knows from his previous timeline. Pram loses a practice duel against an Alpha-class student named Percival but displays remarkable skills. Desir intervenes when Percival tries to attack Pram after the match, earning Pram's gratitude.

From Romantica, Desir learns that she is the daughter of a merchant who bought a noble title, making her a commoner in the eyes of the academy's professors. Because of this revelation, she is placed in the Beta class. Desir invites Romantica to join his group and promises not to reveal her secret. Romantica is fascinated by Desir's mysterious abilities and knowledge and agrees.
