"Kininatteru Hito Ga Otoko Janakatta" is adapted as anime

The manga series "Kininatteru Hito ga Otoko Janakatta" by Sumiko Arai is being adapted into an anime. To celebrate this announcement, a special video was released.

The story revolves around Aya, a student who takes an interest in what she believes to be a male employee at a CD store. To her surprise, it turns out to be Mitsuki, an unassuming classmate. The narrative focuses on the budding feelings between the two young women, intertwined with a passion for music and the challenges of growing up.

The manga series has already received significant acclaim. It took first place in the Web Manga category at the Next Manga Awards 2023 and ranked second in the women's category of "This Manga is Amazing! 2024." Additionally, the series has sold over 950,000 copies worldwide. Further details about the anime adaptation will be announced at a later date.

Coinciding with the anime announcement, the third volume of the manga series was released today, February 20.
