The TV anime "Kirio Fan Club" has announced three new voice actors for the eighth episode. Renowned voice actress Yoko Hikasa (known for "K-On!", "Puella Magi Madoka Magica") takes on the role of young Kirio, while Yui Hanasato will voice Nozomi and Yu Serizawa will voice Yua. The three characters appear in the episode "Atsui Yoru" (Hot Night), which airs on May 21.
"Kirio Fan Club" is based on the manga of the same name by Chikyuu no Osakana Pon-chan, which was serialized from 2022 to 2024 in the magazine Comic Ruelle published by Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha. The romantic comedy revolves around two high school girls, Aimi and Nami, who are secretly in love with their classmate Kirio and exchange their exuberant fantasies about him. The manga enjoyed great popularity: It ranked 6th in 2024 and 10th in 2025 in the women's category of the annual "Kono Manga ga Sugoi!" ranking and received a live-action series in 2025.
The anime adaptation has been airing on Japanese television since April 2, 2026. It runs in the Super Animeism TURBO programming block on MBS and TBS (Thursdays at 0:26 AM) as well as on AT-X. Internationally, the series is available for streaming via HIDIVE; the North American license is held by Sentai Filmworks.
Studio Satelight is in charge of production. The series is directed by Sou Toyama, with series composition by Aya Satsuki, character design by Nami Hayashi, and music by Tomoki Kikuya. The main roles are voiced by Nene Hieda (Aimi Miyoshi), Shion Wakayama (Nami Sometani), and Gakuto Kajiwara (Ken Kirio), along with other voice actors such as Yūya Hirose, Jin Ogasawara, Ayasa Itō, and Fūka Izumi.
In the eighth episode, the story of the school trip continues. Aimi and Nami try to cheer up the dejected Kirio, but he remains closed off. The newly introduced flashbacks to elementary school may shed light on the origins of the girls' obsession.
The opening song "FANCLUB" is contributed by the band Skirt and ODD Foot Works, while the ending song "Harmony" is by singer a子 (Ako). The anime is planned for twelve episodes.
