The Kimikoe Project announced at the AnimeJapan 2019 event on Saturday that a TV anime adaptation of Kei Ii's Kitsutsuki Tantei-Dokoro has been confirmed for spring 2020.
The novel's story takes place in 1909 during Japan's Meiji era and focuses on fictionalized versions of the real-life poet Takuboku Ishikawa and the real-life linguist Kyōsuke Kindaichi, who were acquaintances in real life. In the novel, Takuboku runs a private detective agency to support his family. The two begin investigating a case of alleged ghost sightings in the Asakusa Jūnikai building, also known as Ryōunkai.
