"Kizumonogatari - Koyomi Vamp" releases key visual and promotional video

The anime "Kizumonogatari - Koyomi Vamp" has released its key visual and promotional video. The key visual, scheduled for release on January 12, 2024, features the protagonist Koyomi Araragi on a subway escalator in backlight, symbolizing his encounter with Kiss-shot.

The video sequence begins with unsettling music underscoring the subway scene, then abruptly shifts to a brighter tone that accompanies various action scenes from the film. There are intense moments where Araragi's head and hands are seen flying off.

"Kizumonogatari" is the prequel to Nisio Isin's novel "Bakemonogatari" and serves as the origin story of the "Monogatari" series. Previously, the story was adapted in 2016 as a three-part film series, consisting of "I: Iron-Blooded," "II: Hot-Blooded," and "III: Cold-Blooded." The upcoming "Kizumonogatari - Koyomi Vamp" is a compilation film that combines the three parts into a new, cohesive narrative.
