Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya CG gets another season in July

The series "Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya" is getting a new season titled "Battle for Sanctuary." A trailer and key visual have been revealed, and Crunchyroll announced that the series will stream worldwide this summer in July.



The first part, consisting of the initial six episodes, premiered worldwide in July 2019. The first 12-episode season of the anime covers the story from the Galaxian Wars up to the Silver Saints arcs of the manga.

Crunchyroll describes the plot as follows:

The young warriors who protect the Goddess Athena are known as the Knights of the Zodiac. A young orphan, Seiya, is destined to become the Pegasus Knight. Athena has been reborn into this world, but this time under a dark prophecy foretelling that she will lose the war against Poseidon and Hades and lead humanity to ruin. Seiya defies the prophecy and vows to protect her at all costs. But now, a god-slaying arrow has struck her heart. To save her life, Seiya must climb the Sanctuary and defeat twelve legendary golden knights—and he has only twelve hours to do so. Will he succeed? And what will become of the dark prophecy if he does?
