The popular light novel series "Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Itte kara 10-nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita" (English: "Leave This to Me and Go Ahead, and I Joined 10 Years Later to Become a Legend") will be adapted into a television series in 2026. This was confirmed by the announcement of the main cast and the release of a first teaser.

The story revolves around Rack, an S-rank mage in a hero party. To prevent the complete annihilation of his companions, he makes the decision to fight the enemy alone and says: "Leave this to me and go ahead!" After a solitary battle, he succeeds in defeating the Demon King. When he returns to his original world, he finds that ten years have passed, and he himself has in the meantime become the legendary figure of a great hero who sacrificed himself to save the world. Due to the effects of the battle, Rack appears rejuvenated and hides his true identity. From then on, he lives as an F-rank adventurer under the name Lock and embarks on further adventures with old and new companions.

Originally, the story was published in 2018 on the platform "Shōsetsuka ni Narō". The printed version is published by SB Creative, with seven volumes currently available. A comic adaptation by Abeno Chako is serialized on "Manga UP!"; the 18th volume will be released on October 7, 2025. The total circulation of the series has exceeded 4.25 million copies.

The series is being produced under the direction of Kobe Yuki at Studio Geckos. The series composition is by Hirota Mitsutaka, and the character designs are implemented by Majiro.

The voice cast includes:

- Kajihara Gaku in the role of Rack, the S-rank mage who is rejuvenated after the battle and now lives under the name Lock.

- Morikawa Toshiyuki as Erich, the leader of the former hero party and wielder of the holy sword.

- Koyama Takeshi as Goran, an S-rank fighter of the original group.

A first teaser shows Rack, Erich, and Goran in a dynamic pose, in which Rack seems to be protecting his companions with magic.
