Kono Hon wo Nusumu Mono / The Bibliomystery starts on December 26

The animated film adaptation of Fukamidori Wakari's novel Kono Hon wo Nusumu Mono has announced its official theatrical release date as December 26. Starting August 1, thematic promotional leaflets will be available at screening venues, accompanied by a 30-second film preview.

The plot unfolds in the fictional city of Yokunagamachi, whose existence has been transformed by a literary curse. The trigger was the theft of valuable works from the historic Mikura Library. Protagonist Mifuyu Mikura, a descendant of the library's founder, embarks on an exploratory journey with the enigmatic Mashiro – recognizable by her dog ears. Their mission: To recover the stolen writings and lift the magical effect that has turned the city into a labyrinth of giant plants and narrative dimensions.
