Meanwhile, Ciel's group reaches the castle of Diederich's ally (Baron Weizsäcker), where Wolfram receives medical treatment. Ciel reflects on Queen Victoria's true motives for the assignment: Not the investigation of deaths, but the discovery of German military secrets (poison gas, tanks) was the priority. At the same time, Diederich reveals an encounter with Undertaker in Germany, who mysteriously alludes to "the other Earl Phantomhive."
