For the ongoing anime series "The Apothecary Diaries," a new cast member has been announced. Voice actress Kusakabe Noriko will lend her voice to the character Fengxian, an ailing courtesan. The series is currently in its second season.

Fengxian is a courtesan who is bedridden due to illness. She meets the protagonist Mao Mao during one of her visits to the Luqing Pavilion to deliver medicine. She makes her first appearance in Episode 18.
